Camping trends at a glance
1. Digital detox and mindful travel
In times of constant sensory overload, many people long to slow down. Camping allows you to do just that, whether it's enjoying coffee from your camper van or taking a walk by the lake. Linda Meixner explained why digital breaks are so valuable in her talk “Let's Talk Digital Detox” – and struck a chord with her audience. Her appeal: instead of constant availability, be present in the moment. Because true relaxation often begins where Wi-Fi ends.
2. Minimalism meets function
Thoughtful organization is becoming increasingly important. Less chaos means more comfort, especially when space is limited. In her talk “Order on the Road,” organization expert Isabella Franke showed how to create structure in a small space—without sacrifice, but with a system. Whether it's clever storage or practical everyday routines, travelers need clarity. Her conclusion: order is not an end in itself, but creates calm, clarity, and genuine moments of well-being in your mobile home.
3. DIY gadgets & customization
Camping is increasingly becoming a stage for self-expression, not only in terms of destination, but also in terms of appearance. The trend: personalization. At one of the DIY stations with Eni, participants were able to design nature prints for textiles – creative souvenirs for their bags when hiking or for pillowcases. Eli Breuing's interactive art project “Rolling in Color” also focused on co-creation: a Carado model was transformed live and colorfully into a rolling canvas.
4. Creativity to Go & Content with Soul
How can experiences be conveyed? Many travelers not only want to experience things, they also want to capture them – while remaining authentic. In the photo and video workshop with travel creator Kevin Schmitz, participants learned how to capture outdoor moments while camping with a smartphone or camera. It wasn't just about technology, but also about getting the right feel for light, perspective, and atmosphere. Because the trend is toward accessible and emotional content instead of filter routines.
More about the new models: Vehicles for the ultimate camping experience
Carado is bringing a breath of fresh air with four new layouts. Whether it's the T135, T328, V347, or CV541 pro – all models focus on smart use of space with well-thought-out features. In the CV541 pro camper van, a permanently installed staircase provides structure in the living area and leads up to the pop-up roof – ideal for cozy evenings. The V347 boasts a market innovation: the side-mounted Clever Lift bed. It folds out from the wall and floats above the seating area – the entrance area remains free and when folded down, the full standing height is retained, ideal for taller people. Among the semi-integrated models, the T328 impresses with an optimized room layout and a fifth seat belt position – for trips with the whole family. The compact T135 is now available with an optional fold-down bed in the update and offers up to four sleeping places with compact exterior dimensions. For those who want to travel at their own pace with more flexibility instead of more luggage.
